He had no flaw. The character hated swimming, a permissible preference, otherwise he was strong, dark, mysterious, a whiz with technology, compassionate, and smoking hot. More than all of that, she ached to save him. After years of servitude hacking U.S. GPS drone systems for the Iranian military, he’d broken away by selling Intel to the American government. Finally able to enjoy his first vacation, he was in a bus crash, then later abandoned by the other survivors.
She could save him, restore his faith in humanity, on her knees or bent over a table, which for most men would inspire just fine. She saw no limit to the possibilities in smoothing the ever-present worry lines from his brow.
Ever obsessing about the show with her friends was one thing. After it aired, they’d all bed their boyfriends, even Frank, and through squinted eyes fantasize the cock in them belonged to their television lover. Siler didn’t have that outlet, hadn’t had it for ages. The girls all thought her lack of mate some prudish nod to morality, or deep-seated insecurity. They didn’t know she’d enjoyed raucous sexual freedom in her younger years. No, she didn’t have men at her door in droves now, but not for lack of trying on their part. Her dedication to becoming a federal public defender, however thankless, and saving the unsavable eradicated any hope of a personal life.

The relief of not looking for Mr. Right left her free to focus on her caseload, to connect with her clients—society’s castoffs—and try to fulfill her purpose of helping others. Sexual needs became muted, manageable with the right tools—for the most part. Occasionally her body ached for release under someone else’s touch, and in her mind he always had an olive complexion, not to mention agile fingers masterfully working her clit.
Every time, she closed her eyes, she saw Farraj. His face above hers, lips parted in a moan. His lean, hard body moving over, around, in her. His rolling, rich accent asking, “Like this?”

The Summer is great for quick reads! At the beach, on the road trip to vacation or wherever!
Some of my current favorite quick reads are the 1Night Stand books from Decadent Publishing. They are short books that are more story than sex. Surprising in the whole dating service for one night of sex premise. Happily theses stories have much more heart than one would expect. The mysterious Madame Eve sets up couples on supposed one time dates that end up being soulmates! And the stories are solid! Every genre you could think of to take you away from reality!
Here are a few of my favorites-
Heather Long's Always a Marine series, everyone is a hit!! Love them! Yummy men in uniform! And she really hits on issues soldiers face after returning from active duty.

Letting
herself out of the apartment, she locked up and turned to find her neighbor
locking his door. He caught sight of her and smiled. “Good morning.” His deep
baritone hummed over her senses. She appreciated the low voiced greeting.
“Good
morning.” She wanted to say something more, but her brain locked up around the
words. He eased his wheelchair back until nearly off the sidewalk and motioned
for her to precede him. Biting her lip, she found another smile for him. “Thank
you.” Her heartbeat accelerated and sweat cooled her spine. She didn’t hug the
wall, but she couldn’t help widening the distance between them.
The wheels
made the faintest squeaking noise after she passed, and she glanced back to see
him following her down the path toward the parking lot. Maybe she should have
offered to push. He wore an olive green t-shirt and a matching pair of slacks,
though they were cut up the side of the large cast encasing his right leg from
mid-thigh to his toes.
He—Joe, he
said his name was Joe—met her gaze and gave her another easy smile. His eyes
crinkled at the corners and the dimple in his cheek deepened. The sidewalk
widened and she slowed to let him catch up.
“I’m sorry.
I’m not the best company this morning.”
“No worries,
ma’am. Little ones take a lot out of a body.” The buttery softness of his voice
washed over her like a soothing balm—like the night before when he knocked on
her door and introduced himself. He scared the hell out of her, but not in the
same breath.
I must be
tired. I have no idea what I’m feeling from one moment to the next. As if summoned by her thought,
fatigue wavered through her and she stumbled. The diaper bag swung down her
arm. She couldn’t catch it and hold the baby at the same time. Joe stopped the
bag’s arc, and gave her a chance to catch her balance.
“May I?” He
offered, still holding the bag.
May he what…? He wanted to carry the bag for
her and she winced. It was heavy and he…
“I have
plenty of room and then you don’t have to worry about it taking you off balance
again.” The sound logic quashed her natural objections. She shifted Libby
carefully and let the strap fall off her arm. Her internal alarms sounded.
Giving him the bag didn’t give him some kind of power over her, but her gut
tightened at the surrender of her possession.
He settled
the bag against his lap and nodded encouragingly. “Just point me to your car…”
“Oh, I don’t
drive. Well, I do but I’m not driving here. I’m actually just staying here for
a few weeks and I’m waiting for the shuttle.” She tacked the last on with a
grimace. “And apparently I’m as muddleheaded for real as I feel. Sorry. Thank
you. The shuttle is scheduled to pick us up here in about…” She couldn’t look
at her watch.
“Two
minutes.” The captain supplied. “I’m waiting for the same shuttle.” His warm
brown gaze turned studious. “Are you okay?”

~MY REVIEW~
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot by Heather LongMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
What a fantastic read!! Ladies do not go into this one looking for steam! It is not that kind of read...until the end!! This is a touching story of two wounded people finding each other and addressing a need in each other. I like that they do not rush into anything. They feel the whole love at first sight but do not skip the meaningful getting to know you stuff! It is a nice short read, novella length, but I would not have minded a longer read with more of their story.
Nice steam at the end but that isn't really what this tale was about. A very nice addition to the Always a Marine series. A step away from the 1Night stand format of some of the other books in the series!
When is Matt going to get his love story!! I am so impatient!!

~MY REVIEW~
Holy, Hot Damn!! I love the 1Night Stand series from Decadent Publishing! They are always well written tasty little romances! Who would have thought that the premise of a blind date on night stand would really have so much heart and romance involved!!
This newest book in the set does not disappoint! I am also eager to check out the authors other works, especially the rest of the Preppers books.
Jane is a really great character and I was with her on her journey all the way!! Lukas is the hottest nerd I have read in a while!! Yummy! And the two together are a sexy weather condition all on their own!
My favorite thing about these books is that the sex almost takes second stage to the story line. It is a very clever mix of romance and erotica!
