Why will you love Ian Coghlan?
Um…well….he comes wrapped up in a very pretty package, complete with piercings and tattoos that cover both arms. Lots and lots of muscles too.
So, at first glance he’s pretty much a walking wet dream.
And then he’ll go and make it even better when he talks to you. No, seriously. He will. Cause yeah he’s super sexy and hot and stuff. He can shapeshift and has some magic powers associated with that (that aren’t just about sex, I know what y’all are thinking, cause you’re pervs, and that’s terrific).
But seriously. He’s NICE. He’s smart, and sweet, and sorta broken hearted cause he got kicked outta the only family he’d ever known. I mean, c’mon, why wouldn’t you love a guy that would not just take you for a ride on a motorcycle, but would teach you to ride your own if that’s what you wanted?
He can totally kick ass too. If you’re Ian’s lady and someone fucks with you, they are going down hard and they aren’t gonna get up again unless he wants them to. No joke.
Ian’s a lot more interested on what’s going on in a woman’s head than he is with the packaging. Peyton’s insecurities rear their ugly head and make her think he couldn’t possibly be interested in her because he’d dated pretty much every little tiny young thing in Travers, but he’d rather hang out with someone who can hold a conversation with him than a skinny minnie college girl. Being a Fae and having to hide out, he’s had to do stuff to blend in.
So why will you love Ian? Why wouldn’t you? Well, he does have some yucky man habits, he is a dude, after all.
But I don’t see how you can’t love Ian.
I guess if you don’t, he’d got five single friends you can try out. Ya know, just to be sure.

Book boyfriends, you have to love them and there are several meme’s wandering the internet on the reasons why. For me the challenge is creating a hero who is realistic and interesting enough to catch the reader’s attention.
Troy from The Reaper and the Cop is no exception. Being a cop is more than a job for Troy, protecting people and upholding the law is a calling for him. He’s worked hard to get where he is, working up the ranks and putting in the extra hours when the job and cases warranted it.
Driven and focused, he’s the first out and the last back in when someone’s life is on the line. There are many people who owe their lives to him, either because he didn’t give up investigating their cases, or because he put himself in the line of fire to protect them. He’s the kind of guy who can’t leave the helpless unprotected and alone, be that a victim of crime or a stray dog or kitten.
A veteran of a big city homicide unit, he’s used to living alone because he hasn’t found a woman to put up with his strange work hours or one that completely understands his loyalty to the badge. He’d be the kind of man you’d want on your zombie survivor team, or with you if terrorists took over your building.
But under all the drive and determination, beneath the police training and the on the job training which has made him tough as nails, beats a heart of pure gold. Protective and possessive, Troy isn’t the sort of man to leave his woman wanting...in any way ;)
