Guest Blog - Sugar on Top by Virginia Nelson

~GUEST BLOG~
Happily Ever After With Sugar On Top
Lydia isn’t looking for a happy ever after, she’s mad. She finds a website that offers up women like prime pieces of steak, price tags on their botoxed foreheads and isn’t sure if she’s more mad at the women—for naming the price they’re willing to sell their time for—or the men—for being willing to settle for a woman who named a price rather than fighting for love.
Lydia is recovering from a divorce, successful in her own right, and thinks she’s happy being a workaholic. Love isn’t for everyone, after all, and isn’t her life complete as it is?
Chandler Hawk grew up in a simpler world, one populated by warm apple pie, climbing trees, and the value of a spit promise. Finding success, he’s now surrounded by people who are afraid to tell him the truth because of the money and power he’s accumulated even though honesty is the thing he finds most attractive.
These two meet and sparks fly…but happily ever after isn’t a sure thing.

I hope readers enjoy their journey as much as I loved writing it!

Some people have got to get real…
Lydia Tompkins isn’t looking for love. She’s annoyed. A dating site matching gold diggers with men willing to pay for their time? Thinking it will be a dash of reality in their pipe dreams of Stepford wives, she uploads a picture—and a piece of her mind—and never expects any serious responses.
Some people even want to…
Chandler Hawk remembers a time before the wealth. Finding the most appalling dating site he’s ever heard of while surfing the net, he clicks on it and finds the most real woman he’s seen in a long time.
A sugar daddy meets a woman who doesn’t need a man to take care of her and sparks fly. Can they find a happily ever after, with Sugar on Top?

Excerpt
“If that was a test, it wasn’t a good one.” He grumbled the words, suddenly annoyed with her. With himself.
“How do you figure?” She looked smug, as if she’d just uncovered some important nugget.
“Because, if I were to kiss you, it’d be more like this.” She’d started this. He’d finish it and satisfy his strange reaction all in one moment. Closing his hands on her hips, he felt her hands flutter and land on his arms as he dipped his head and sampled her.
Her mouth trembled, as if she was the one thrown off-balance by her own lame ass test. He closed his eyes and let nature take over.
Gentle nibbles at the corner of her mouth had her opening on a sigh and he released all the edgy hunger she awakened into his kiss. She was a stranger, and a prickly one, but in his arms she melted, responding in the most delicious way to his mouth.
Reveling in the embrace, he clenched his hands in the fabric covering her waist, bunching it to hold on.
About the Author

Virginia Nelson spends her days chasing three very active kids around.  When she is not doing this, or plotting taking over the world, she likes to write, play in the mud, drive far too fast and scream at inanimate objects.  She can often be found listening to music that is far too loud and typing her next fantastic tale of blood, sex and random acts of ineptitude.  Romance, in Ms. Nelson’s opinion, is not about riding off into the sunset on the back of a horse with the knight in shining armor— it is about riding the dragon.  If the knight can keep up… well, that is love.
My previous works include the two paranormal romances Odd Stuff (1/2010) and Siren’s Song (9/2010) published by Sapphire Blue Publishing. I was a finalist in the All Romance Ebook Just One Bite Contest with my erotic short, Wolf Bait(11/2010.)  In Spring 2012, Lips of Velvet and Accidental Pirate are scheduled for release with Rebel Ink Press.
