I adore Jennefer Estep's Elemental Assassin series!! Gin Blanco kicks butt on all levels!! Estep creates a fantastic world like no other. So wonderfully well thought out with engaging and dynamic characters!

And just as exciting is Kim Harrison's Hollow's series, Rachel Morgan is a force to be reckoned with!! And one of my fav bad boy crushes the demon Al!!! It was dicey for a few books but it is back on track now.

DeleteThis is an awesome blog hop! I'm a big fan of supernatural books especially romantic ones. I love magic and I love that you never know what people's abilities are going to be. It leaves so much more open to guessing because the world that the author builds all of a sudden does NOT follow our world's rules. I love when people can listen to thoughts or move things with their minds. I also think being able to control other's emotions would be a handy gift. Probably my favorite books involving people with magic are 'Beautiful Creatures' and 'Poison Study.' It must be hard to be responsible for such power. I love when Lena from 'Beautiful Creatures' is trying to harness all she has. It's something akin to the awkwardness we all go through in middle school in which we are trying to figure out who we are.

I have 2 "magical" series that I enjoy. The first one is The Aaron's Kiss Series by Kathi S. Barton. There are 13 wonderful books full of sexy males from all walks of magic. The second series is the Jolie Wilkins one by HP Mallory. The underlying humor is really enjoyable.

ReplyDeleteI can't think of a very favorite book with magic in it because every time I read one, it becomes a favorite because I love them so much! "Magician" by Raymond Feist is very good but it's more fighting fantasy and not romance at all (still, it's really very good). I love the television show "Supernatural" and have been watching that since season one day one so I like books that are a bit like those things as well. Oh, I just like it all!! If it's written I like it! I'm also always on the hunt for a new series (so if anyone has any suggestions, send them my way! I need some!!)
