~MY REVIEW~
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
A really fun fast paced story!! Sasha and Dirk had great chemistry. There were times I though things moved a bit too quickly but overall very believable for a sci-fi.
The writing was really great I had a few laugh out load moments that caused heads to turn in my direction! A really enjoyable read that was the perfect length. I adore a spicy book with a sense of humor!!
I usually have to be in a sci-fi mood to deal with an space fantasy. This one put me in the mood and really kept me there! I loved all the crazy gadgets and alien inventions. Sure many things were what you would expect in this genre and not really groundbreaking. But it was a really fun read in the end!
The steam was plentiful!! Holy Hot Space sex!! Yummylicious!! Very inventive and super sensual!!
Kudos to an action packed book!

[Siren Ménage Everlasting: Erotic Consensual BDSM Cowboy Ménage a Trois Romance, M/F/M, spanking, sex toys, HEA]
~MY REVIEW~
Back in Bliss by Sophie OakMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
This book was a long time in the making!! And I have been more than ready for it's release!
I love Logan and it is so great to see him finally get his sh!t together!! I also love Hurricane Georgia with all her sass! I just wish she were not so doubting about her curves and self-worth. And Seth completes the trio with all his charm and manipulation!!
All three are flawed characters who struggle to find their place. They really work well together and have such an interesting dynamic. I loved seeing their growth from past books. Of all the characters in this series I think this group had the farthest to go to get to their HEA! It makes it so much sweeter in the end.
Once again Ms Oak delivers a tale with heart, steam and humor!! Delicious!!! Definitely a great example of why she is one of my favorite naughty authors, heck a fav author period!

Length: 90 pages \ 25000 words
Book Description:

afraid of everything?

mom and widow Melody Carter, six months passed since an IED ripped her life
apart. Everyone is sympathetic and offers platitudes of comfort and support.
Everyone thinks they know why she’s grieving but Melody isn’t mourning her
broken heart. She’s ashamed to be grateful her abusive husband won’t hurt her
anymore and scared for her child. Born with a mild heart defect, her daughter
needs lifesaving surgery and with her funds tight and her emotional scars
tighter, she’s running out of options. When she receives an offer for
assistance from Mike’s Place, can Melody put her faith in the men her husband
called friend?
Have you ever woken up, day after day,
to discover your body’s betrayal?
Marine
Captain, Joe Anderson Cooper, received the Silver Star for Valor when he led
his unit through heavy fire to rescue fellow Marines. Despite numerous
injuries, the Captain refused medical aid, insisting that the medics attend
others. A broken back and shattered bones put Captain Cooper in a wheelchair
and every day is a battle to keep his recovery on track and his sanity intact.
When a single mom moves in to the apartment next door to his and he recognizes
a kindred—damaged—soul, can he overcome her fear and be the man she’s always
needed?
Can these two lonely souls rise to the
challenge or will their scars trap them forever?
Also be sure to check out the rest of the Always a
Marine series!
Excerpt:
Letting
herself out of the apartment, she locked up and turned to find her neighbor
locking his door. He caught sight of her and smiled. “Good morning.” His deep
baritone hummed over her senses. She appreciated the low voiced greeting.
“Good
morning.” She wanted to say something more, but her brain locked up around the
words. He eased his wheelchair back until nearly off the sidewalk and motioned
for her to precede him. Biting her lip, she found another smile for him. “Thank
you.” Her heartbeat accelerated and sweat cooled her spine. She didn’t hug the
wall, but she couldn’t help widening the distance between them.
The wheels
made the faintest squeaking noise after she passed, and she glanced back to see
him following her down the path toward the parking lot. Maybe she should have
offered to push. He wore an olive green t-shirt and a matching pair of slacks,
though they were cut up the side of the large cast encasing his right leg from
mid-thigh to his toes.
He—Joe, he
said his name was Joe—met her gaze and gave her another easy smile. His eyes
crinkled at the corners and the dimple in his cheek deepened. The sidewalk
widened and she slowed to let him catch up.
“I’m sorry.
I’m not the best company this morning.”
“No worries,
ma’am. Little ones take a lot out of a body.” The buttery softness of his voice
washed over her like a soothing balm—like the night before when he knocked on
her door and introduced himself. He scared the hell out of her, but not in the
same breath.
I must be
tired. I have no idea what I’m feeling from one moment to the next. As if summoned by her thought,
fatigue wavered through her and she stumbled. The diaper bag swung down her
arm. She couldn’t catch it and hold the baby at the same time. Joe stopped the
bag’s arc, and gave her a chance to catch her balance.
“May I?” He
offered, still holding the bag.
May he what…? He wanted to carry the bag for
her and she winced. It was heavy and he…
“I have
plenty of room and then you don’t have to worry about it taking you off balance
again.” The sound logic quashed her natural objections. She shifted Libby
carefully and let the strap fall off her arm. Her internal alarms sounded.
Giving him the bag didn’t give him some kind of power over her, but her gut
tightened at the surrender of her possession.
He settled
the bag against his lap and nodded encouragingly. “Just point me to your car…”
“Oh, I don’t
drive. Well, I do but I’m not driving here. I’m actually just staying here for
a few weeks and I’m waiting for the shuttle.” She tacked the last on with a
grimace. “And apparently I’m as muddleheaded for real as I feel. Sorry. Thank
you. The shuttle is scheduled to pick us up here in about…” She couldn’t look
at her watch.
“Two
minutes.” The captain supplied. “I’m waiting for the same shuttle.” His warm
brown gaze turned studious. “Are you okay?”

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
What a fantastic read!! Ladies do not go into this one looking for steam! It is not that kind of read...until the end!! This is a touching story of two wounded people finding each other and addressing a need in each other. I like that they do not rush into anything. They feel the whole love at first sight but do not skip the meaningful getting to know you stuff! It is a nice short read, novella length, but I would not have minded a longer read with more of their story.
Nice steam at the end but that isn't really what this tale was about. A very nice addition to the Always a Marine series. A step away from the 1Night stand format of some of the other books in the series!
When is Matt going to get his love story!! I am so impatient!!
Cover Art - Sweet and sexy!! Draws you into this interracial romance!

Book Description:
Doctorate in
hand, Jane Ann Summers is ready to return to the South
Seas paradise of her youth, when the director of the institute—her
mother—drops a bomb. She cannot return until she experiences more of life...a
social life
Determined to
waste no time, Jane searches for a shortcut and discovers the 1Night Stand
dating service. A single night with a Dr. Gerard, geologist…and she can go home
and get on with her fascinating study of world weather trends. The only
question is whether to have sex with him…after all, it would be her first and maybe only time.
Dr. Lukas
Gerard’s own field of study has shown him some alarming trends. He believes a
killer earthquake may rattle the Western half of the United States in the near future.
In preparation, he has converted an abandoned gold mine to a secret bunker,
loaded with supplies and all the comforts of home. Only thing he needs is
company in his hideaway. Unsure how to find the right companion, he turns to
1Night Stand, but neither he nor Jane are prepared for the sudden impact of one
of Madame Eve’s connections.
Maybe there
is more to life than science…for both of them.
Excerpt:
“I need to ask you something first.”
His brow furrowed, but he shrugged.
“Okay.”
“Does Madame Eve know the location of
your secret place?” Out there in the dark, with the sprinkle of stars to light
the black velvet night, the reality of proceeding blindfolded into the desert
with a stranger, no matter how attractive, seemed dangerous. If the answer was
no, she would ask him to turn the car around and hope she wasn’t already too
late.
“Yes,” he said, in a low voice. “She
insisted.” When she still clutched his arm, he smiled. “I understand caution,
let me show you something.” Lukas reached over her to the center console. So close,
his warmth and the clean scent of soap went to her head. Hang on, Jane. Even if he is the cutest guy you’ve ever met, and smells
so good.
He retrieved his cell phone and
clicked to a text message. “Look at this.”
I have
confirmed the location of your date and we can schedule your evening. I hope
you understand the safety of my clients is paramount, yours as well as Ms.
Summers. Thank you for your cooperation. M.E.
Reassured, Jane faced away from him.
“Do it, then.” She closed her eyes and tried not to flinch as the soft cloth
covered her face. It tightened and then his hands dropped to her shoulders.
“Okay?” His fingers rested on her
collarbones, inches from her breasts. Her eyes strained, but the several folds
prevented the least bit of starlight from entering.
“I can’t see a thing.” But she could
still feel his touch moving down her arms, past her short sleeves, and onto bare
skin. The desert wind soughed; her heart thumped in her ears. Hyperaware of the
man behind her, she waited to see what he would do next.

Holy, Hot Damn!! I love the 1Night Stand series from Decadent Publishing! They are always well written tasty little romances! Who would have thought that the premise of a blind date on night stand would really have so much heart and romance involved!!
This newest book in the set does not disappoint! I am also eager to check out the authors other works, especially the rest of the Preppers books.
Jane is a really great character and I was with her on her journey all the way!! Lukas is the hottest nerd I have read in a while!! Yummy! And the two together are a sexy weather condition all on their own!
My favorite thing about these books is that the sex almost takes second stage to the story line. It is a very clever mix of romance and erotica!
